Drones

Fri Dec 26, 2008, 3:39 PM
I just want to start out by saying I think i've reached the point where I cannot become anymore cynical about people, and life in general. I have been working in a retail business now for 16 months, and lets just say it isn't a retail business that is necessary to live. It is a luxury retail business, and despite our shitty economic trough, people still come in by the loads to my store and buy our product.

What the hell is this world coming to? As technology is advancing, believe it or not we are becoming the stupidest we have every been since the industrial revolution. People are relying on technology too much. I go into McDonalds and the stupid morons can't even ring up a small coffee if the damn computers are down. What is this world coming to, seriously.

I am only 17 years old, and at this point in my life I feel as if i'm 50 years old for goodness sakes. There are people that I know that are going on 30 that have no responsibilty, and just because of their age, society sees them deemed more mature than a 17 year old. I'm tired of this shit. Why can't people open there eyes and understand that age is JUST A NUMBER. I get treated like a damn kid, but yet I don't. Of course I get the shitty end of the bargain. You are expected to have responsibilites and live up to them, but of course when you do, you're still just a "kid" when it's all said and done with. So in return, the vicious cycle occurs once again and i'm seen once again as a mere shadow on the wall. Oh and of course, if you make a mistake, you are expected to take the punishment as an adult. Can't get off easy on anything.

Does anyone honestly believe that anybody gives a crap about this earth and where it's headed? Where I live now, we collect recycling in this bins that the borough gives to us. After two weeks of collecting the recycling, we put it out on garbage night and two trucks are supposed to come around and collect their designated pickups.

Lately it's been one truck. The garbage truck. And when the garbage truck comes around, guess where that recycling we collected goes? Right to the landfill. Oh and of course so many try to impress the world by "going green" and bragging about it, but they don't give a rat's ass where the hell our recycling is going as long as it's out of their sight. I have yet to see in my lifetime anyone fighting to get a recycling plant in our area. I don't even know why the borough bothers anymore to try and tell us to recycle. Nobody works for a recycling plant around here, and of course, who questions that? Nobody. Not a single person. So you think anyone gives a shit about reusing our resourses? Hell no.

I work a good 20 hours a week, ussually more, and I have been for the last 16 months. But in those 16 months I haven't been working for my company. I've been working for the banks, slaving for the banks, every single dollar I earn never even existing. Who really thinks that when we recieve a pay stub, that 300 dollars is really there in the flesh? Well if you do, you're wrong. In the United States of America currently, only 3% of our money exists in PHYSICAL FORM. The other 97% is all digitial. So what do we do. Printing more and more money of the press, they believe that will contemplate for it. They don't realize that the more money there is, the more debt there is, the more debt there is, the more money there is. DEBT IS MONEY. And every single dollar you work for or recieve will inevitably end up in a bank, with interest paid on that money as well. Money begins in a bank, and it ends up in a bank. Oh and you can't forget inflation the nice little hidden tax that hangs over society today. In 1913 one dollar needed 21 dollars in 2006 to match value. That's a 97% increase folks on the value of a dollar. Doesn't anyone realize that with the current monetary system we are running on, we will inevitably crash and burn? Of course the majority of those who do, won't say a damn thing about it. Why? It requires energy, somthing that the common American doesn't want to exert nowadays. Leisure time in America now is one of the most valued things to us, and with that mentality, we are going downhill.

Drones. We are nothing but drones right now in society, unless we actually stand up and do somthing about it. If we don't, soon enough the crap is going to hit the fan, and we will all be in serious, serious trouble. We need to get out of our drone lifestyles as it is. We are slaves to the banks right now, and that is ALL WE ARE at the moment.

Of course I guarentee 99% of people on DeviantArt are not going to read my ventilation. Too much work isn't it to sit here and read somthing that would actually benifit us. If you do take the time to read this, please give me some feedback. I would greatly appreciate it as well, and it would really mean alot to me to critique on my thoughts. What is this world coming to..?
